Lead the financial reporting team to deliver internal and external financial reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.

What’s the role?

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting you will: 

  • Prepare externally released quarterly and year-end US GAAP financial statements.
  • Support the preparation of externally released documents, including the annual report, trading and operational updates, and other media releases. 
  • Lead finance streams of projects with internal stakeholders such as group tax, group legal and treasury.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to the group on changes to US GAAP and IFRS and their impact on the business
  • Contribute to maintaining a strong internal control environment compliant with SOX
  • Liaise effectively with Divisions and Cost Centres to advise on accounting procedures and policies to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Ensure appropriate and robust accounting/financial procedures are in place.
  • Assist in the preparation of responses to internal and external auditors and make recommendations for remedial action where necessary.

Who are you? 

  • Big 4 background   
  • Previous financial reporting and technical accounting experience involving the consolidation of large and complex groups, including minority interest
  • Experience managing financial consolidation systems (HFM or Onestream)         
  • Previous experience with  US GAAP and SOX is preferred
  • Strong organisational and communications skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and build meaningful relationships
  • Effective project management and delivery
  • Motivated high performer with strong career aspirations
